Connection

The little things are what really matter. The signs, synchronicities, coincidences, and glimmer moments are the heart of this existence. Those moments bridge together the purpose and meaning of our lives and our connections with each other. We are all stitched together in the fabric of the Universe.

Connection fosters love. Love is also at the heart of what really matters and what we are all striving to learn more about while our cosmic primordial essences are housed in these meat suits. We are all students of love on this planet. Being a student of love provides opportunities to feel a wide range of emotions and states of being. Being in the moment, allowing yourself to fully feel your emotions, instead of suppressing or stuffing them down — that’s what we’re meant to do.
The ability to see that the little moments are what truly matter in this life is a lesson that is better learned as soon as you can. At the end, you will understand, either right before your dying breath, or as your spirit is headed into the ether, or when you orient yourself on the other side, those little things that you may have discounted — they were stacked up to be the most important.

“Don’t let what he wants eclipse what you need. He’s very dreamy, but he’s not the sun. You are.”

-Christina (Grey’s Anatomy)

Portal

There are no guarantees. Focus on what you want and how to bring it to fruition. You cannot live someone’s life for them. You cannot control their actions. All you can control are your actions.

Winter

“We were like branches intertwined from the same tree, the same root, reaching out toward the sky to the unknown.”

-Brandon Hobson from Where the Dead Sit Talking

Paradigm

It is easy to become hard. It is easy to become jaded. With all the darkness there is in the world there is so much light, as well. I would like to think that there is more beauty and goodness in the world than ugliness and evil.

When you go through difficult situations, arduous experiences, ugly things in life, you reach a point somewhere in the processing of it all- you can choose to see the beauty or the ugliness in life- and you make that choice and walk forward with a lens of beauty or ugliness. The easier choice is picking a lens of ugliness. It is easier to see all the negativity in the world. Our egos love to point out the flaws in life, people, and the world. It is harder to choose a lens of beauty. To see the beautiful things in the world takes more effort. At least for me. Some people may be born with a natural ability to easily see the beautiful things in the world. That is a true gift to possess the innate ability to see the beauty first. I would like to think that we are all born like that and then society conditions us to become the opposite, to focus in and pinpoint the negative first. We are taught to see the ugly. We were born to see the beauty.
